I've never personally played Deus Ex, I do know it got Game of the Year in 2000 and Steam rates it at 90 on the metascore list.

Guess it would make sense that all 12 games don't come from the past 2-3 years. I know I could pick a handful of games that should have made that list, Fallout 3 being one of them.

WoW, Half Life, GTA, Portal, Sims and Wii Sports definitely deserve their spot on that list. All of these wre absolutely amazing and paved the way for most of the stuff we have today.

Deus Ex and its the sequel were great. Absolutely fantastic games. I played both on XBox when they originally came out and I loved them. And I hate FPS's.

If you get a chance to try either, I highly recommend both. Portal was also a great game in that it was unlike any other game I'd played before.

I was going to say that Half Life 2 shouldn't be on the list in favor of HL1 but I forgot that the original HL was in the 90s ... wow. For me HL1 and TFC were the first enjoyable FPS I played. Now there are so many.
