Edge of Darkness

I didn't hate this movie but it wasn't as good as Taken. Too much was given away in the trailer (like his daughter getting killed) for it to really be shocking etc.

Not a spoiler but in one of the first scenes when his daughter gets shot while standing next to him on the front porch of his house. The gunman shoots from the middle of the street, from the hip, with a shotgun and hits her perfectly.... Total unbelievably Mel doesn't get hit at all - not even with one pellet from the shotgun.

The story was pretty good tho - not a ton of action mostly political. Worth a rent when it comes out just to hear Mel Gibson's shitty Boston accent.
