My quick review of the 9300:
So far I really like it. It will serve as our bedroom computer, television, DVR, and my traveling computer.
The screen is huge and glossy (1920x1200). Great for watching movies and HDTV downloaded from the net. Not so great for bright areas because of the glare. At the brightest setting there is some light bleeding at the bottom of the screen but it's gone at lower settings.
Windows Media Center 2005 is the OS that came with it. It's basically Windows XP professional with a couple add ons. It's nice if you have the remote to control MCE - you can play videos, watch TV, listen to XM, view pictures etc from accross the room. I haven't messed with it yet because I don't have the remote.
It has a Nvidia 6800go 256m video card in it. It will play Wow at 1920x1200 with everything maxed out at around 40fps. I haven't used it in an instance yet so I don't know if there will be any lag. CSS and BF2 need to be set to medium to play at 50+ FPS in my opinion. The resolution of the screen is quite high so it's pushing alot of pixels. I tried changing the res and my FPS went way higher. It is possible in this model to drop a 6800 ultra or 7800go video card in at a later date. Pretty cool that Dell has an upgrade path for video card in a laptop.

Yeah, that's an awesome deal if you follow that thread below. The only thing I would have done differently is maybe get the base amount of RAM and then buy a 1 gb from Newegg. I did the $100 upgrade to 1gb and they put in two 512 mb strips. So I can't goto 2gb later unless I buy 2 1gb strips.
I needed to get to $1499 to use the 30% coupon and used the RAM upgrade to get me there. But I called back after I ordered to get the UXGA screen and forgot to reduce the RAM. Oh well still a great deal. I called and ordered the blue tooth internal "card" for $9.95 on Friday - it's installed by opening a little door on the bottom and plugging it in.... lol when ordering they want like $100 for that add on.
Anyone else thinking of getting a laptop for cheap from Dell do it soon. Rumor is Dell isn't doing coupons after Dec 15th or so.

Actually nothing in the link below works anymore. But the current deal is 750 off a machine priced at 2k or more. Plus the 2% off at checkout if you open a credit account with dell.

How crappy is the ATI RADEON card in some of these? Can it be replaced with the nicer card?

Yes, you can install a 6800 go video card, 6800 ultra, 7800 video card. You need to order the cards from Dell because they are made special by Nvidia for Dell. But alot of people are doing upgrades from 6800 to 7800 so there are some 6800s on ebay for $100.
