From drive-thru windows to customer service. From tech support lines to bank tellers. Why does it seem that the English language is becoming less and less the language of North America?!?!? I can deal with the frog-speaking Canadians as long as they speak frog their side of the border.

I'm getting used to having to speak with my hands or order by the numbers like at a Chinese restaurant whenever I order fast food. Nearly every time I order I get some rotten-toothed, stinky guy smiling at me and pushing random buttons on the ENGLISH LABELED cash register. Then something completely opposite of when I ordered shows up at the order window.

I feel like I'm loosing my hearing ever time I call a tech support line (Microsoft, Compaq, HP, all of them!) I have to have things repeated to me two or three times before I can understand what the fuck the person on the other end is saying. Am I too used to the Minnesota accent, eh? It's bad enough trying to get someone to understand WHOPPER COMBO MEAL let alone ILLEGAL OPERATION - DIV 0 ERROR - 0x00A04B12EF753!!

It’s bad enough trying to explain things and get what you’ve ordered from people that speak English!!

And MN isn't even close to FL or CA's level of non-English speakers.

Percentage wise in the twincities it is pretty high though. In the upper 10% in the nation.
