After going to the gym with Rachel and my brother we stopped at Houlihan's in Eagan for a drink. We sat down and waited 10 minutes for the waitress to come take our drink order. When she got to my brother he didn't have the "papers" with his clipped license so she wouldn't serve him. I asked to talk to the manager and we placed our drink orders. Now I knew there was no way the manager was going to serve my brother, because they were technically obeying the law by not serving him - but I wanted to bitch anyway. After another 10-15 minutes we received our drinks. Shortly afterwards it must of been the kitchen manager came to our table. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed and was pissed off. She started with - Is there some problem with an ID? We looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders - then Rachel said to her that we had been waiting for 20 minutes to receive a menu and that our drinks had just arrived. The manager was kind of taken off guard by our problem "bait and switch" - and asked again if we had a problem with an ID. We said "no" and she gave us our first round for free with no apology and skulked away.
Why does it seem like today's customer service problems can all be easily fixed with free stuff?
We thought about it for a minute and decided to leave. We didn't even touch the free drinks they gave us. So it was back to Applebee's as usual.
I suggest if this does happen to you that you challenge it with the information that I have given you. Let me know how it pans out for you.
Isn't it practiced that when someone’s license is revoked the corner is clipped? Do they get papers for their non valid license?
Actually when your license is revoked, suspended, or cancelled it is your "duty" to turn in your license to the state. If you don't it is actually a crime. You are supposed to turn in your license and get a state ID card. And believe it or not the actual hard card of your license is the property of the state at all times. When you pay your 18 bucks you are simply paying the filing fees and not for the license itself. Cute HUH
Sorry I couldn't be more help
