Pretty much what I expected. Knoxville and Stifler were good. Jessica Simpson is horse-faced and anoying. But plenty of eye candy otherwise. ....cars of course
Some great chase/race scenes. And the car stunts gone wrong clips durring the credits were awesome.
It was almost like it was meant to be a spoof on the orignial show rather than some kind of remake.

Kelly was out of town and Chad wanted to go see it. Turned out to not be half bad. Johnny Knoxville made the movie for me - otherwise it was just silly.

I don't know about that statement...I mean, what happened to originality?
They have no ideas so they'll just take an old TV show and make a shitty movie out of it? That's BS to me...
How long was Jessica Simpson in this pile of shit of a movie? 10 minutes? And the fanboys spent $8 per to see her prance around in Daisy Dukes?
Name me 5 movies produced or released with in the last 3 years that were wholely original (meaning not baised on a book, true story, or some other source) AND were 5/5 movies in your opinion....good luck!

How many 5/5 movies have we had in the last 5 years? Luke might say Napolean Dynamite hehe
Good Will Hunting is an example of a great movie that was written to be a movie.

That's my point. True, good originality is very rare. ESPECIALLY in movies. Thus this movie is no stinky standout in that area.
Maybe it's more acurate to say its no beter or worse than 90% of the crap hollywood produces in this respect.

I am excited for the stuff coming up this fall winter too. Some of it looks amazing and creative.
Episode III i supose technically counts. But it was a sequal so not wholely original. Even though i gave it a 4.5 it easily deserves 5 in most respects.
It is true ya gotta give pixar credit for thier work always top notch and original.

I saw it only because i dont have to pay for movies. I expected it to be BAD.... like really bad. But, it wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be, and of course Jessica is fucking hot. Nothing great though.
3/5
As for good original movies lately, i can name plenty: -Devil's Rejects -Wedding Crashers -Sin City -Kung-fu Hustle -Team America -Kill Bill
There are probibly tons more that im forgeting.

Yeah, can't give Sin City "originality" points because it was based off a comic book.
Totally forgot about Kill Bill, but I think that too was based off a japanese story...will have to re-read Quentin's inspiration.
And Ender, I heard a ProEx radio ad this morning where they had a kid going to get his senior photos and he was pretending to be Napolean Dynamite. Was pretty funny. The mom was like "No, you're not wearing your 'Vote for Pedro' shirt"...and he goes "Can I bring Tina?"
Yessssss.....
I think I have to re-watch that movie because I do chuckle every time someone repeats one of the lines.

I think Wedding crashers is based off of an old movie as well.
