My idea on a keeper league, is to carry over 1, 2 or 3 players. If you decide to carry over a player there is a fee. (Such as $5 or $10 per player kept).

Yeah, otherwise we are back to the hording issue. If you want to keep a player so bad, then you pay for it. Otherwise we have to do an auction draft to make it fair. The first pick is random and it's not fair for them to get to hold over the #1 pick because of dumb luck.

I'm in another Keeper League, and I know a lot of people who have switched their leagues over to a keeper format...but I've never heard of it being done that way.
The idea/purpose of a keeper league more like the true NFL style...with that in mind, dumb luck and hording come into play in the NFL. Look at the Lions...they are hording offensive talent (1st round pick has been a WR for the past 3 years).
...but I think I understand where you're coming from.
It's your league brother. I'll cast my vote with everyone else.

Exactly...and in True NFL Style, teams would not be able to afford to keep 3 of the top players in the game due to salary caps. Therefore by having to pay a minimal fee for the right to keep a top player you can decide how valuable that player really is to your team. Teams have to cut loose top players all the time because they can't afford them. The extra monies will be added to the prize pool, so you will just end up taking a larger pot home when you win the championship.
Anyways, all this will go to a vote and I will go with majority rules. I want us all to enjoy the experience and keep it fair for all teams. I'm just throwing out new ideas to try and enhance the league.

Okay, seems like we have enough votes to turn down the idea of a keeper league. Thanks, for voting!!!
